Major College Football Stadiums Were Blanketed in Snow on Friday

The weather conditions around the country have been making things difficult for some college football fans. 

The Cotton Bowl is in Dallas, Texas on Friday between the No. 8 seed Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 5 Texas Longhorns. Unfortunately, snow and ice in Dallas forced many flights to be canceled on Thursday, making it tough for fans to get there for the game. 

On top of that, snow has hit the United States pretty hard, with a number of college football stadiums being covered in snow on Friday. 

On Friday morning, the Georgia football account posted a photo of Sanford Stadium covered in snow amid a storm

Throughout the day, several major college football programs shared their photos of the stadiums covered in snow. 

A rare snow event blanketed Tuscaloosa in white before dawn on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025. The Walk of Champions leading to Bryant-Denny Stadium is covered in snow.

Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium with snow on the ground. 

One of them was Georgia Tech, which posted a video with snowflakes falling. 

The Alabama football account posted a video of the snowy conditions in Tuscaloosa, including a clip of Bryant-Denny Stadium filled with snow. 

Ole Miss posted a photo of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium covered completely in snow. 

While there were plenty of others, Clemson Tigers quarterback Cade Klubnik was filmed sliding down the hill at Memorial Stadium. 

Arkansas, SMU and Wake Forest are among others who had photos of their stadiums covered in snow as the storm hit hard in the Southern United States on Friday.
