The 2019 college footballbowl season gets started with the first two games on Friday, Dec. 20. The first of 39 bowl games will take place on Friday as Buffalo and Charlotte will kick things off in the Bahamas Bowl in the afternoon, followed by Utah State and Kent State in the Frisco Bowl later in the day.

2 p.m. ET on ESPN – Thomas Robinson Stadium (Nassau, Bahamas)
Why you should watch: The first bowl game of the season pits the Bulls from the MAC against the 49ers from Conference USA. Buffalo is making back-to-back bowl appearances for the first time in program history while Charlotte is in its first-ever bowl game in its fifth year as an FBS member. The Bulls have a run-heavy offense and the MAC's stingiest defense while the 49ers made great strides on both sides of the ball in head coach Will Healy's debut.
7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 – Toyota Stadium (Frisco, Texas)
Why you should watch: The Aggies from the Mountain West and Golden Flashes from the MAC will finish out their seasons in Frisco, Texas. Utah State is making a third straight bowl appearance as Gary Andersen's second stint as Aggies head coach (2009-12) is off to a strong start. Kent State took a big step forward in its second under head coach Sean Lewis, earning a postseason invite for the first time since 2012. Utah State quarterback Jordan Love is one to watch as he's announced his intention to enter the 2020 NFL Draft and is a player that scouts will be paying close attention to in this game.
