College football's premier senior showcase, the Senior Bowl, will be played today, Saturday, Jan. 25. This year's Reese's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., gives seniors one more chance to impress NFL scouts and team executives. With Super Bowl LIV still a week away and the Pro Bowl taking place on Sunday, the Senior Bowl is a way football fans can satisfy their pigskin appetite on Saturday.
So if you're wondering "What college football games are on today?" know this: There is one scheduled for today, Saturday, Jan. 25.
College Football Games on TV Today
2020 Reese's Senior Bowl, 2:30 p.m. ET on NFL Network
Why you should watch: Joe Burrow, Chase Young, and several others projected to go in the first round of the upcoming draft may not be in Mobile (remember this is an event for seniors), but there's still plenty of talent on display. Five players in Athlon Sports' latest mock draft are participating, including quarterbacks Justin Herbert and Jordan Love.
One of the unique things about the Senior Bowl is that the players are coached by NFL staffs. This year, Detroit's Matt Patricia and his staff are leading the North Team with Cincinnati's Zac Taylor and his staff coaching the South Team. And similar to other exhibition games there are some modified rules that will be in effect that will impact all three phases of the game (offense, defense, special teams), as well as timing and the start of each quarter.
