College Football Games on TV Today
Akron at Ohio, 7 p.m. on CBSSN
Both teams suffered season-opening losses but they were entirely different outcomes. Arkon got blasted 58-13 by Western Michigan while Ohio dropped a close one (30-27) to Central Michigan. The Zips are trying to snap an 18-game losing streak while the Bobcats will look to get back to their winning ways.
Kent State at Bowling Green, 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2
Kent State had to hold on last week to beat Eastern Michigan and will look to improve to 2-0 on the road against Bowling Green. The Falcons got off to a rough start, losing 38-3 to Toledo, and will have to play better on both sides of the ball if they want to defeat the Golden Flashes.
Miami (Ohio) at Buffalo, 8 p.m. on ESPN
These two teams battled it out for the MAC East title last year and it very likely could come down to them again in 2020. Miami is the defending conference champions and defeated Ball State last week despite losing starting quarterback Brett Gabbert to an injury early. Buffalo had a much easier time against Northern Illinois as the running game did its part and the defense contributed three touchdowns.
