College Football Games on TV Today (Thursday, Oct. 17)

Once again, Week 8 of the 2019 college football season serves as the bread to the NFL meat on Thursday, Oct. 17. Yes, there's the usual "Thursday Night Football" fare (Chiefs vs. Broncos this week), but don't forget about some Sun Belt action and another Pac-12 After Dark offering.

So if you're wondering "What college football games are on today?" know this: There are two involving FBS teams scheduled for today, Thursday, Oct. 17.

Note: Games are ordered by start time. All times are ET.

College Football Games on TV Tonight

Louisiana at Arkansas State, 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU

These two teams are looking to keep pace with ULM in the Sun Belt West division standings. Both the Ragin' Cajuns and Red Wolves are 1-1 in conference play and coming off of losses their last time out. One interesting contrast is that these two teams are on opposite ends of the spectrum defensively. Louisiana is No. 1 in the Sun Belt in scoring defense (20.7 ppg) with Arkansas State bringing up the rear (38.7 ppg).

UCLA at Stanford, 9 p.m. on ESPN

The Cardinal have some momentum with two straight wins, including a 23-13 home upset over then-No. 13 Washington two weeks ago. The Bruins have dropped two in a row, including a 48-31 home loss to Oregon State on the same day. Both teams are coming off of a bye, so which streak will continue?
