Best College Football Games on TV Today
Pitt at Penn State, 12 p.m. on ABC
It's the 100th meeting between these in-state rivals (Penn State leads 52-43-4) and it might be the last for a while. The Nittany Lions have won the last two matchups by a combined score of 84-20.
Stanford at UCF, 3:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Knights get their shot at a Power 5 team and on their home turf. The Cardinal will get quarterback K.J. Costello back from injury but must make do without preseason All-American left tackle Walker Little (out for the season). UCF has won 24 straight regular-season games.
USC at BYU, 3:30 p.m. on ABC
The Trojans are 2-0 and back in the polls after dismantling Stanford last week behind true freshman quarterback Kedon Slovis. The Cougars are still riding high after their come-from-behind, overtime win over Tennessee in Knoxville.
Iowa at Iowa State, 4 p.m. on FS1
The Cy-Hawk trophy and state bragging rights will be on the line in Ames, Iowa. The Hawkeyes have won four in a row over the Cyclones. This game also features two of the nation's more underrated quarterbacks in Iowa's Nate Stanley and Iowa State's Brock Purdy.
Arizona State at Michigan State, 4 p.m. on FOX
Herm Edwards' Sun Devils stunned the Spartans in Tempe last season with a 13-point, fourth-quarter rally. This time the game is in East Lansing. Can Arizona State upset Michigan State again?
Florida at Kentucky, 7 p.m. on ESPN
The Wildcats put an end to their 31-game losing streak to the Gators with a victory in The Swamp last season. But many of the key pieces from that team are gone and UK also lost starting quarterback Terry Wilson to a season-ending knee injury last week. Florida comes to Lexington looking for some payback.
Clemson at Syracuse, 7:30 p.m. on ABC
This game has lost some of its luster following the Orange's 63-20 thumping courtesy of Maryland last week. But the defending national champions have had all kinds of trouble with Syracuse recently, and Dabo Swinney's Tigers haven't forgotten what happened the last time they played in the Carrier Dome. That game also took place on Friday the 13th.
Oklahoma at UCLA, 8 p.m. on FOX
It's been a really rough start for Chip Kelly's Bruins but they could flip the script with an upset win at home over the Sooners. Meanwhile, it's been business as usual for Lincoln Riley's offense as Jalen Hurts has put his own stamp on things, but there are still questions about Alex Grinch's defense.
