College Football Games on TV Today
No. 11 Miami at NC State, 7:30 p.m. on ESPN
Somewhat quietly, Miami remains in the hunt for a spot in the ACC Championship Game with just one loss. The Hurricanes will look to maintain that positioning when they take on NC State in Raleigh. The Wolfpack are undefeated home and already have one win over a ranked team on their resume this season.
San Jose State at San Diego State, 9 p.m. on CBSSN
It's not that much of a surprise to see San Diego State tied atop the Mountain West standings after the first two weeks of play but San Jose State? The Spartans have won back-to-back games for the first time since 2014 and are 2-0 to open a season for the first time since 1987. But is San Jose State for real? We'll find out on Friday night as the Spartans match up against the conference's top defense and also try to slow down the Aztecs' punishing ground game.
No. 9 BYU at No. 21 Boise State, 9:45 p.m. on FS1
The Cougars are 7-0 and need a convincing win over Boise State to boost their long-shot chances of making the College Football Playoff. Meanwhile, a win over a top-10 team would be quite the resume builder for the Broncos, who are trying to make up ground on Cincinnati in the race to be the Group of 5's New Year's Six representative. It should be a good one on the Smurf Turf.
