5 College Football Picks Against the Spread (ATS) for Week 11

Georgia Bulldogs defense vs. Florida Gators

Georgia's defense will need to contain Tennessee's high-powered offense for the undefeated Bulldogs to cover their big spread on the road

The 2021 college football season has been full of unpredictable results, and some of us have had a tougher time picking games against the spread than others. After going 2-3 in Week 9, my season-long total against the spread dipped one game under .500 as the month of October drew to a close. So I did what any responsible college football picker would do in this situation and took a week off. But after a week away from the game entirely with some rest and recreation, it’s time to get back into it for the final stretch of the season and looking for a way to finish the regular season on a winning streak.

Let’s get that good ride started this weekend with some interesting conference matchups on the agenda for Week 11.

Note: All times are ET and all games are on Saturday, Nov. 13.

No. 8 Oklahoma (-5.5) at No. 13 Baylor, 12 p.m.

The Sooners are in need of a statement game as they continue to lag behind the College Football Playoff pack despite having an unblemished record. A road game at Baylor would certainly look good in the eyes of the selection committee, but a runaway victory is what Oklahoma needs. Don’t count on Baylor letting Oklahoma running wild, but a two-score victory is in the cards here. Oklahoma 34, Baylor 24

No. 17 Auburn (-5.5) vs. Mississippi State, 12 p.m.

Auburn has been a tricky team to predict from week to week this season, but we’re counting on good Bo Nix to have a solid day against the Mississippi State defense at home. The Bulldogs will put some points on the board but riding with the Tigers at home is the play we’ll ride with. Don’t let us down, Bo! Auburn 34, Mississippi State 27

Northwestern (+24.5) at No. 18 Wisconsin, 12 p.m.

The Badgers have been on a tear since their early-season setbacks and are looking like the best team in the Big Ten West coming down the final stretch of a four-horse race for the division. Wisconsin will get the job done at home against Northwestern, but we're actually going the other way and expecting the Wildcats to cover a 24.5-point spread. This one will never be in doubt, but Northwestern keeps it within 24 points. The Badgers may only score 24 points. Wisconsin 24, Northwestern 13

No. 1 Georgia (-20.0) at Tennessee, 3:30 p.m.

It is tempting to take a team at home to cover a big spread against Georgia because at some point the Bulldogs have to be due for a relatively close call, right? Well, maybe not. Georgia is steamrolling its opponents this season and this is another game where the Bulldogs’ defense will be in complete control. A couple of later scores to put this one far out of reach is probably the likely result after Tennessee puts up a respectable fight for a while though. Georgia 38, Tennessee 17

No. 3 Oregon (-14.0) vs. Washington State, 10:30 p.m.

Oregon continues to make its College Football Playoff case to the selection committee, but the Ducks can still benefit from some style points when given the opportunity. See last week, for example. Expect more chances for some extra style points this week against a Washington State program that is going to struggle down the final stretch of the regular season. Oregon 36, Washington State 17
