The upcoming weekend of college football is already seeing plenty of postponements and schedule adjustments, but the games still on tap should be pretty fun to watch. The Big Ten has a couple of notable games for those looking for some good action against the spread, and they are both in the Big Ten East Division this weekend. But the Group of 5 takes the spotlight this week too (and we're not even talking about Cincinnati-UCF for these purposes).
Here is a look at a handful of games worth paying attention to against the spread around college football in Week 12.
Note: All times are ET and games are on Saturday, Nov. 21.
LSU (-2.5) at Arkansas, 12 p.m.
The line on this game has swung in LSU's favor. The Tigers opened as a slight underdog on the road against the Razorbacks, but the trends are going with the Tigers, who return to the field three weeks after their last game played. Expect some rust, but the Tigers prove the line right in the end. LSU 38, Arkansas 34
Indiana (+20.5) at Ohio State, 12 p.m.
Indiana has gained more confidence by the week, but that won't be enough to pull off a major upset in the Big Ten against the Buckeyes. Ohio State has all of the advantages everywhere you look in this matchup, but Indiana has proven to be legitimate enough to strongly consider them keeping this game within three touchdowns. Buckeyes win, but Hoosiers cover. Ohio State 45, Indiana 27
Coastal Carolina has been one of the most entertaining teams to follow this season, and the Chanticleers have cashed in more than enough to satisfy some of us out here. But we're going back to the well once again with an old favorite in Appalachian State. The Mountaineers not only manage to cover against the Chants, but they pull off the straight-up win to snap Coastal Carolina's dream season. Appalachian State 36, Coastal Carolina 34
Oregon (-14.5) vs. UCLA, 3:30 p.m.
The Oregon Ducks are on a mission this season, and Chip Kelly and the Bruins don't stand much chance of keeping things too close in Autzen Stadium. Oregon has overwhelmed Stanford and Washington State already. They'll do the same against UCLA. Oregon 42, UCLA 27
Alabama (-30) vs. Kentucky, 4 p.m.
Alabama has had two weeks off due to a scheduled bye week and having last week's game against LSU postponed. Expect the Crimson Tide to be ready to dominate in their first game back on the field in a few weeks. Kentucky will be the unfortunate team lining up on the other side of the field as Mac Jones continues to put up incredible passing stats. Alabama goes on cruise control and just barely grabs the cover. Alabama 42, Kentucky 10
