The middle of October is serving up quite a schedule for college football fans in Week 7. Two games will feature a pair of top 10 teams and four others will pit Top 25 teams against each other to provide a full Saturday of entertainment and drama in every conference from coast to coast.
It was another tough week of picking against the spread around these parts last week with a couple of tough beats. Our faith in Alabama was too strong and picking BYU and Kansas to keep things closer didn't pan out. But going all in on UCLA helped make up for some of the setbacks. But another week brings new opportunities for a 5-0 Saturday.
Note: All times are ET and all games are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15.

The fact Illinois is nearly a touchdown underdog at home after the start of the season they have had, so this feels like a great way to start off the week. Chase Brown has been the Big Ten's top running back and should be instrumental in the Fighting Illini not only covering, but winning outright. Illinois 26, Minnesota 23

The rule here is if you pick against TCU one week and make you pay for it, then you ride with the Horned Frogs the following week. So this week, we're on TCU at home against Oklahoma State in a major Big 12 game. TCU in a good old-fashioned Big 12 shootout. TCU 42, Oklahoma State 37

If there is one pick this week to hesitate on, it may be betting against Alabama. The Crimson Tide had a scare last week at home against Texas A&M, and the Tide have a history of coming back the following game and making up for it. But they usually aren't playing a Tennessee team that has the best look the Volunteers have had in years. Is Tennessee for real? We'll find out right here as Herndon Hooker and the Vols look for a massive upset. Alabama 30, Tennessee 26

Clemson looks to continue its dominance over Florida State as the Tigers are aiming to remain in the College Football Playoff picture going into the second half of the season. The Seminoles are improving, but FSU is not quite ready to keep things tight with Clemson just yet. Clemson 37, Florida State 20

Even with no more divisions, this is still a big showdown in the Pac-12. Utah is looking to rebound from a loss to UCLA last weekend, and what better way to do so than by handing USC its first loss of the season? The Utes should be able to slow down the Trojans' potent offense similar to how Oregon State handled Lincoln Riley's attack, but Utah has enough offense to take full advantage. Utah 29, USC 24
