College football's Week 1 slate for the 2020 season features nine games, and our NCAA experts are ready with their predictions and picks. The Week 1 action begins on Thursday, Sept. 3 with two games. Fresh off a victory against Austin Peay last Saturday, Central Arkansas travels to Birmingham to meet UAB. Also, South Alabama plays at Southern Miss. No games are slated for Friday, but the Saturday schedule features six contests. The headliner is Arkansas State at Memphis on Saturday night, with Middle Tennessee at Army and SMU at Texas State providing intrigue. The Week 1 slate concludes on Labor Day with a showdown between BYU and Navy on Monday night. Overall, there are five matchups featuring games between FBS teams in Week 1.
