College Football Rankings: AP Poll Top 25 for Week 6
Week 5 of the college football season is in the books, and the latest Associated Press (AP) poll and top 25 rankings were released on Sunday. These rankings reflect the first five weeks of action as the season heads into Week 6. As expected, Alabama remained No. 1 with a win over Ole Miss. Clemson checked at No. 2 once again following a victory over Virginia Tech, Oklahoma is No. 3 after a bye week, and Penn State is fourth after handling Big Ten foe Indiana. While Clemson didn't pass Alabama, coach Dabo Swinney's team gained a few first-place votes on the Crimson Tide. Georgia moves into the top five following its 41-0 victory against Tennessee, while Washington, Michigan, TCU, Wisconsin and Ohio State round out the top 10. Following Friday night's loss to Washington State, USC drops to No. 14. NC State and UCF join the top 25 rankings this week.
