Weekly college football top 25 rankings are a big part of every season, and Athlon Sports will update its top 25 following the games each weekend. The third weekend of the 2020 season was headlined by Miami's big road win at Louisville, Oklahoma State's comeback over Tulsa, UCF's victory at Georgia Tech and Louisiana's rally in overtime to beat Georgia State. Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma take the top four spots, with Florida at No. 5 and Georgia at No. 6 in the post-Week 3 top 25 rankings. With the third week of the 2020 season officially in the books, here are the top 25 teams in college football:

1. Clemson (2-0)

Week 3 Result: Defeated The Citadel

As expected, the Tigers cruised to an easy victory over The Citadel.

2. Alabama (0-0)

Week 3 Result: No Game

Crimson Tide kick off their 2020 season at Missouri next Saturday

3. Ohio State (0-0)

Week 3 Result: No Game

The Buckeyes are slated to return to the field on Oct. 24 against Nebraska.

4. Oklahoma (1-0)

Week 3 Result: No Game

The Sooners were off in Week 3. Coach Lincoln Riley’s team is set to open Big 12 play on Sept. 26 versus Kansas State.

5. Florida (0-0)

Week 3 Result: No Game

The Gators open their 2020 season at Ole Miss next Saturday.

6, Georgia (0-0)

Week 3 Result: No Game

The Bulldogs begin defense of their SEC East title at Arkansas next Saturday.

7. Penn State (0-0)

Week 3 Result: No Game

The Nittany Lions open the 2020 season at Indiana on Oct. 24.

8. LSU (0-0)

Week 3 Result: No Game

The college football world gets its first look at LSU’s revamped starting lineup in the opener against Mississippi State next Saturday.

9. Notre Dame (2-0)

Week 3 Result: Defeated USF

The Fighting Irish beat USF 52-0 thanks to a suffocating defensive effort (allowed 3.7 yards per play), while quarterback Ian Book chipped in three rushing scores.

10. Texas A&M (0-0)

Week 3 Result: No Game

Keep an eye on the Texas A&M receiving corps early in the year after attrition and injuries took a toll on this group this offseason.

Week 3 Result: No Game

The Badgers host Illinois on Oct. 24 to begin their 2020 schedule.

The Longhorns open Big 12 play with a matchup versus Texas Tech next Saturday.
