Weekly college football top 25 rankings are a big part of every season, and Athlon Sports will update its top 25 following the games each weekend. The 13th weekend of the 2020 season was headlined by Notre Dame's win at North Carolina, Iowa State's comeback against Texas and Alabama's blowout victory over Auburn. Additionally, Week 13 saw Oregon State upset Oregon, Clemson dominate Pitt and Texas A&M and Florida earn victories in league play. Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson and Ohio State take the top four spots, with Texas A&M at No. 5 and Florida at No. 6 in the post-Week 13 top 25 rankings. With the 13th week of the 2020 season officially in the books, here are the top 25 teams in college football:

College Football Top 25 Rankings

1. Alabama (8-0)

Week 13 Result: Defeated Auburn

Mac Jones tosses five touchdowns to get revenge over Auburn in 42-13 win in Iron Bowl.

2. Notre Dame (9-0)

Week 13 Result: Defeated North Carolina

Another strong all-around effort by Notre Dame in all phases on Friday afternoon led to a 31-17 win over North Carolina. The Fighting Irish defense allowed just 58 yards in the second half after giving up touchdowns on the Tar Heels’ first two drives to open the game.

3. Clemson (8-1)

Week 13 Result: Defeated Pitt

Dabo Swinney’s team returned to the field after two weeks off, but there was no rust evident in 52-17 win over Pitt. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw for 403 yards and two scores, and the defense forced five takeaways.

4. Ohio State (4-0)

Week 13 Result: No Game

The Buckeyes were slated to play at Illinois on Saturday, but the game was canceled due to an uptick in COVID-19 cases at Ohio State.

5. Texas A&M (6-1)

Week 13 Result: Defeated LSU

Aggies had some rust but still had enough to post a solid 20-7 win over LSU. Texas A&M’s defense held the Tigers to just 3.7 yards per play and forced three takeaways.

6. Florida (7-1)

Week 13 Result: Defeated Kentucky

Tight end Kyle Pitts wasted no time announcing his return from injury with three touchdown catches in the win over Kentucky.

7. Cincinnati (8-0)

Week 13 Result: No Game

The Bearcats’ game at Temple was canceled due to COVID-19 cases. Coach Luke Fickell’s team isn’t slated to play again until Dec. 12 versus Tulsa.

8. Georgia (6-2)

Week 13 Result: Defeated South Carolina

JT Daniels stole the show in last week’s win over Mississippi State, but the Bulldogs leaned on the run (332) yards in the 45-16 victory against South Carolina on Saturday night.

9. Miami (7-1)

Week 13 Result: No Game

The Hurricanes were slated to play Wake Forest next Saturday, but the matchup has been canceled due to COVID-19.

10. BYU (9-0)

Week 13 Result: No Game

The Cougars were off in Week 13 and are not scheduled to play next Saturday.

11. Iowa State (7-2)

Week 13 Result: Defeated Texas

Comeback win over Texas means Iowa State is just a victory away from its first trip to the Big 12 Championship Game.

12. Oklahoma (6-2)

Week 13 Result: No Game

Oklahoma’s Week 13 game at West Virginia was postponed due to COVID-19. The Sooners are slated to return to action next Saturday against Baylor.

13. Indiana (5-1)

An uptick in COVID-19 cases forced Minnesota to cancel its game with Wisconsin for Week 13. The Badgers are slated to host Indiana next Saturday.

18. Oklahoma State (6-2)

Week 13 Result: Defeated Texas Tech

Dezmon Jackson’s clutch performance (235 rushing yards) with Chuba Hubbard and LD Brown sidelined helped Oklahoma State rebound from last week’s loss to Oklahoma.

19. Oregon (3-1)

Week 13 Result: Lost to Oregon State

Ducks have work to do on defense after Oregon State scored touchdowns on four of its final five drives to score the upset.

20. Louisiana (8-1)

Week 13 Result: Defeated ULM

Ragin’ Cajuns pounded ULM for 344 rushing yards and five touchdowns in easy 70-20 win on Saturday night.

21. USC (3-0)

Week 13 Result: No Game

Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases, USC’s game against Colorado was canceled.

22. Tulsa (5-1)

Week 13 Result: No Game

Tulsa’s game was postponed due an increase in COVID-19 cases at Houston. The Golden Hurricane are slated to return to action against Navy next Saturday.

23. Iowa (4-2)

Week 13 Result: Defeated Nebraska

The Hawkeyes have won six in a row against Nebraska.

24. North Carolina (6-3)

Week 13 Result: Lost to Notre Dame

Tar Heels started fast with scores on their first two drives, but Notre Dame’s defense shut down this group the rest of the way.

25. Washington (3-0)

Week 13 Result: Defeated Utah

Huskies scored 24 points in the second half to rally for a 24-21 win over Utah.
