Weekly college football top 25 rankings are a big part of every season, and Athlon Sports will update its top 25 following the games each weekend. The 14th weekend of the 2020 season was headlined by Coastal Carolina's win over BYU, Alabama's blowout of LSU, Texas A&M's road victory against Auburn and Ohio State's return to the gridiron at Michigan State. Additionally, Week 14 saw Clemson win at Virginia Tech, while Notre Dame, Florida and Indiana earned victories in league play. Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson and Ohio State take the top four spots, with Texas A&M at No. 5 and Florida at No. 6 in the post-Week 14 top 25 rankings. With the 14th week of the 2020 season officially in the books, here are the top 25 teams in college football:

1. Alabama (9-0)

Week 14 Result: Defeated LSU

The Crimson Tide’s revenge tour rolls through Baton Rouge to score a dominant 55-17 win over LSU.

2. Notre Dame (10-0)

Week 14 Result: Defeated Syracuse

Fighting Irish ace final tune-up before ACC Championship rematch against Clemson with 45-21 win over Syracuse. Quarterback Ian Book finished undefeated (15-0) in starts in South Bend during his career.

3. Clemson (9-1)

Week 14 Result: Defeated Virginia Tech

The Tigers are headed back to the ACC Championship Game for the sixth consecutive year.

4. Ohio State (5-0)

Week 14 Result: Defeated Michigan State

Thanks to four touchdowns from quarterback Justin Fields, the Buckeyes didn’t show any rust in East Lansing after one-week break due to COVID-19.

5. Texas A&M (7-1)

Week 14 Result: Defeated Auburn

Kellen Mond was efficient, the ground game pounded Auburn for 313 yards, and Texas A&M’s defense allowed only 26 yards over the final three drives en route to a 31-20 win at Auburn.

6. Florida (8-1)

Week 14 Result: Defeated Tennessee

Another huge performance by quarterback Kyle Trask leads Florida to win over Tennessee. The victory also gives the Gators their first SEC East title since 2016.

7. Cincinnati (8-0)

Week 14 Result: No Game

The Bearcats were off in Week 14 and return to action at Tulsa next Saturday.

8. Indiana (6-1)

Week 14 Result: Defeated Wisconsin

The Hoosiers were outgained 342 to 217, but the defense forced two timely takeaways, forced Wisconsin to take field goals instead of touchdowns and got a late stop on downs to secure the victory.

9. Georgia (6-2)

Week 14 Result: No Game

Georgia’s Week 14 matchup against Vanderbilt was postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. The Bulldogs are slated to play at Missouri next Saturday.

10. Miami (8-1)

Week 14 Result: Defeated Duke

Quarterback D’Eriq King accounted for 294 total yards and three touchdowns, while Miami’s defense suffocated Duke’s offense (2.8 yards per play) in 48-0 win.

11. Iowa State (8-2)

Week 14 Result: Defeated West Virginia

Brock Purdy’s touchdown passes (three) matched the number of incompletions he tossed in Saturday’s win over West Virginia. The Cyclones are headed to the Big 12 Championship Game for the first time in program history.

12. Oklahoma (7-2)

Week 14 Result: Defeated Baylor

The Sooners averaged only 4.6 yards a snap in the win over Baylor, which was the lowest mark of Lincoln Riley’s tenure. Oklahoma clinched a trip to the Big 12 Championship Game thanks to its win over the Bears.

13. Coastal Carolina (10-0)

Week 14 Result: Defeated BYU

Saturday’s Coastal Carolina-BYU game was one of the better games of the 2020 season. The Chanticleers picked up the huge win thanks to a strong ground game (281 yards) and a defense that forced two takeaways and generated steady pressure against the Cougars’ stout offensive line.

14. BYU (9-1)

Week 14 Result: Lost to Coastal Carolina

Hopes of a trip to a New Year’s Six bowl are likely over after the close loss to Coastal Carolina.
