Saturday’s 46-41 victory in Tuscaloosa against Alabama was a statement victory for coach Ed Orgeron’s program. The Tigers torched the Crimson Tide for 559 yards (7.1 per play), with quarterback Joe Burrow accounting for 393 yards and three touchdowns through the air. LSU gave up 541 yards to Alabama but forced two turnovers and got just enough stops in the first half to help lift this team to a victory.
