Dabo Swinney, Clemson Reach Major Decision On His Future With The Program

Dabo Swinney has risen to become one of the best coaches in college football. Clemson is without a doubt lucky to have him. With that being said, the two sides have reached an agreement on his future. 

Clemson football and Dabo Swinney have reached an agreement on his future with the program. Swinney is going to remain at Clemson through the 2031 season. He's getting a 10-year extension worth $115 million. 

It's the largest overall contract for a college football coach in the sport's history. A big decision by the Tigers. Swinney will remain at Clemson for the next 10 or so years. 

"#Clemson and Dabo Swinney have agreed to a $115 million new contract over the next 10 seasons. Largest overall contract for a CFB coach, will average $11.5 million per year," said ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.

Clemson makes it official:

"𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡. Clemson is proud to announce that we have extended Dabo Swinney through the 2031 season. #ALLIN," writes Clemson football.

Dabo Swinney and the Tigers opened the 2022 season with a 41-10 win over Georgia Tech this past Monday night. 

Clemson looks to move to 2-0 this Saturday in a clean-up game vs. Furman.
