Dabo Swinney's New Contract Has Harsh Penalty If He Leaves For Alabama

Even when things are all about Clemson, somehow talk about Alabama sneaks in there.

Dabo Swinney and the Tigers agreed on a 10-year, $93 million contract that will keep him coaching the football program for years to come. However, there is an interesting caveat in the contract. Obviously there are always buyouts for termination of contracts without cause, but the price is a little more steep for Swinney if he happens to leave for the Crimson Tide.

Swinney seems committed to the Tigers for the foreseeable future, but Clemson obviously felt it's better to be safe than sorry.
