Fans in Agreement About Travis Hunter, Deion Sanders After Colorado's Thriller Win Over Baylor
The Colorado Buffaloes entered Week 4 of college football with a point to prove, playing in their first conference matchup of the season. Last year, head coach Deion Sanders led the Buffs to a lousy 1-8 record in conference play. Their matchup with the Baylor Bears gave them an opportunity to prove that they've ridded the bad habits, and can win Big 12 football.
Fortunately for Colorado, they did just that in a very exciting fashion, winning by a score of 38-31 in overtime. Travis Hunter was once again sensational as he had his fourth-straight 100-yard game, catching seven passes for 130 yards.
After this incredible performance, one fan made a bold take about Hunter's relationship with Coach Sanders.
While this may not seem like a bold take, Hunter was one of, if not the best recruit of all time coming out of high school, so he had some extremely high expectations to live up to in college.
That said, fans were raving about Hunter on Twitter or "X" following Colorado's victory, with one fan saying, "Travis Hunter may be the best player I ever seen." Another fan also added, "Never seen a better player than Travis Hunter in all my days."
"Travis Hunter may be the best two-way college player ever," added another fan.
This comment ties into the first listed in the article, as Hunter is learning from one of the best players in NFL history. Hunter is a natural other-worldly talent at receiver, but being able to develop his defensive skills under one of the best defensive backs the NFL has ever seen has allowed him to continue playing both sides.
Fans have also given a ton of credit to Sanders tonight, saying that he's a "damn good football coach." Another fan added that "You might not like Deion Sanders... But this program is in a million percent better shape than when he took over."
Advancing to 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play, the future is looking bright for the Buffaloes. Things appear to be clicking much more for them this season, as it could end up being quite the year for Colorado's star-studded roster.
