College Football Fans In Awe After UCF Reveals New Uniforms
A new college football season means a new look for several teams throughout the country. We’ve already seen several teams unveil some pretty unique uniforms, like the Illinois Fighting Illini’s throwbacks to the Red Grange era, and we've seen a few that clearly take a step back like the ones TCU fans continue to wish never changed in the first place.
One program that always seems to hit the mark with any new uniform is the UCF Knights. Their gold and black color scheme already has numerous possibilities, but they’ve taken that a step further in years past by adding blue accents and references to their proximity to Cape Canaveral.
Their most recent uniform unveil follows in the footsteps of their previous elite designs, making fans’ jaws drop in the process.
“These are amazing what a way to start out the season props to you UCF Equipment,” Collin Blackwell replied.
The Knights famously wore exclusively black facemasks up until 2019 when they dawned their “Moon Helmet” uniforms. These “DripU” designs also swap out the black cage for white, which glistens off the black silhouette like the moon in the night's sky.

Fans also appreciated the Dr. Doom pop culture reference in the announcement.
“Beautiful from the helmet to the RDJ Dr Doom reference,” Brian wrote.
Gasparilla JR said these uniforms are turning him into a believer, even if he won’t be able to see them live.
“I generally dislike UCF’s new uniform template, but these are fantastic. And they are wasting it for a game on ESPN+ against New Hampshire,” he wrote.
This new look took Christian Simmons’ breath away writing, “White facemask. On black helmet. I cannot breathe.”
He gave some more of his thoughts in a follow-up post writing, “I know I am prone to hyperbole on the uniforms but this is instantly in the conversation for best UCF blackout ever right.”
There are so many small details fans seem to love with one fan writing, “These are solid outside of the back to front stripe. Love the black and white on the helmet and script wording is always a banger.”
UCF will debut these new uniforms in their home opener against the New Hampshire Wildcats on Aug. 29. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
