The nation's No. 1 team will be without a key defensive piece for the remainder of the season.
Georgia safety Dan Jackson is expected to miss the remainder of the 2022 campaign due to a stress fracture, according to Dawgs247.
Jackson has appeared in all seven games for the Bulldogs this year with one start.

Jackson ranks fifth on the Georgia defense with 16 tackles through seven games. He also has an interception and a forced fumble on the season.
On a defense full of former five-star recruits, Jackson took the long way to his regular role. He walked on to the Bulldog roster in 2019 and spent his first two seasons in Athens as a member of the scout team. Last year, he emerged as a regular contributor, appearing in all 15 games and starting six as Georgia went on to win the national championship.
True freshman Malaki Starks had supplanted Jackson in the starting lineup earlier this year, so he should see his role expand with Jackson sidelined.
