James Wilder ran for four touchdowns and Kellen Winslow had six catches for 132 yards as Missouri upset No. 2 Nebraska 35-31 in Lincoln. The Huskers had beaten No. 1 Oklahoma the previous week to clinch at least a share of the Big Eight title, but Missouri denied Tom Osborne his first outright league title. Wilder's fourth touchdown late in the fourth quarter proved to be the winning points and clinched a Liberty Bowl berth for the Tigers.
