Once upon a time in a faraway land, there existed an Iowa Hawkeyes home field which elicited shock and awe in opponents visiting Iowa City. Kinnick Stadium, with its intimate seating that puts fans directly on the opponent’s sidelines, infamous pink visitor’s locker room, and a fan base that just didn't know when to stay quiet, was a nasty place to visit. And very few teams came away on the winning end.
But minus the record-breaking 2015 undefeated season, visiting Kinnick Stadium has recently become more of a ho-hum experience for Iowa opponents. Since 2012 the Hawkeyes have been an uninspired 21-14 in the place where they were once masters of their domain.
Will 2017, with the Hawkeyes playing seven of their 12 games at home, be any different? Here’s a look at what teams will match up against Iowa this fall.
