Joel Klatt Crushes Promiment SEC Coach On Twitter

Mississippi State University head coach Mike Leach has never had an issue with saying what's on his mind.

The former Texas Tech and Washington State coach has had several rants go viral, including a 2009 incident with the Red Raiders where Leach ripped into several players with vulgar and explicit language.

After Leach called out his University today in a pitch for a new athletic director, prominent college football voice Joel Klatt took exception, saying Leach's actions are "tiresome" and that "no coach in America gets more of a pass for speaking poorly about his players or University than Mike Leach."

"No coach in America gets more of a pass for speaking poorly about his players or University than Mike Leach...And all anyone does is praise him and laugh! I think it's tiresome!" Klatt said in a tweet Monday.

While some college football fans replied to the tweet noting that they appreciate Leach's willingness to speak what's on his mind, Klatt followed up by saying he doesn't believe the "honesty" is a good look.

"You can call him 'honest' but its actually toxic within the walls...leave the 'honesty' to those that are covering the program," Klatt replied.

Despite posting an 84-43 record as the head coach of Texas Tech between 2000 and 2009, Leach's last two endeavors have not been as successful. In his last 134 games as coach of both Washington State and Mississippi State, Leach has a record of 71-63.

Leach and the Mississippi State Bulldogs are at home this weekend as they'll host the Auburn Tigers this Saturday.
