Clemson is one of six undefeated teams remaining in college football this season.
At 8-0, the Tigers are ranked fifth in the Associated Press' Top 25 poll just behind Michigan, Tennessee, Ohio State and Georgia.
Despite their perfect record, Fox Sports' Joel Klatt stated Sunday that he doesn't think Clemson would have the same success in the Big Ten or SEC.
"Does anyone think @ClemsonFB could actually win either division in the SEC or the B1G East? Do you think they could finish better than 3rd in the SEC East or B1G East? I don't either!" Klatt tweeted Sunday evening.
Clemson, a member of six of the past seven editions of the College Football Playoff, hasn't looked sharp this season despite three top-25 victories.
After a relatively smooth start to the 2022 season, Clemson hung on to defeat Wake Forest 51-45 to move to 4-0 on the year. The next week, the Tigers avoided a late NC State comeback attempt to win 30-20.
On Saturday, Clemson scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to cap a late 11-point comeback, barely slipping by Syracuse. These narrow victories have many, including Klatt, a bit more skeptical on the Tigers as the College Football Playoff nears closer.
Clemson has a bye this Saturday but faces another potentially tough matchup the next week at Notre Dame.
