Kirk Herbstreit Calls Out Oklahoma Defender for 'Unethical' Decision Against Tennessee

This highly-anticipated matchup was a big one for both teams, but an "unethical decision" made by one of Oklahoma's defenders put the Sooners in a negative light in the first quarter. This defender appeared to fake an injury to stop the play in order to slow down Tennessee's momentum.
Popular sports and college football announcer Kirk Herbstreit called out this defender for his "unethical" and "pathetic" decision.
Though faking an injury isn't "against the rules", Herbstreit described the decision as "unethical as hell." It's hard to disagree with him as this is a known "unwritten rule" in any sport. This is especially true when it has a real impact on the game.
This incident came after a big gain for 38 yards to put them at the Sooners' 10 yard line. Despite putting themselves in this position, the faked injury "killed the drive," leading to just a field goal.
If the Sooners were to win by four points, which is still unlikely, this play would prove to have huge implications on the game as a whole. These types of plays are just unacceptable and there can't be any more in the season going forward, especially with the national spotlight put on it by Herbstreit.
