The Egg Bowl between Ole Miss and Mississippi State has long been known as one of the more venomous rivalries in college football.

But following the Bulldogs' 24-22 win over the Rebels on Thursday night, the two teams showed some not-so-bad blood.

Knox Kiffin, the son of Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, sent Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers a direct message on social media prior to Thursday's matchup asking for his towel. After the game, Rogers found the younger Kiffin on the field and kept his word.

As a result, Lane Kiffin called Rogers "classy" on Twitter.

Not only did Rogers display class on Thursday night, he showed that he continues to be one of the more underrated quarterbacks in the country.

Rogers completed 27 of 39 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns. He's now tied for third nationally with 34 passing touchdowns on the season and eighth in passing yardage per game.

Lane Kiffin has developed a reputation for being snarky and controversial on Twitter, but following the Rebels' third loss in as many weeks, he's been pretty tame.

Rumors have swirled that Kiffin could be the leading candidate to replace the fired Bryan Harsin at Auburn, but Kiffin said Thursday night that he expects to be back at Ole Miss next season.
