Choose your words carefully when around Deion Sanders.

The Colorado Buffaloes coach took to social media to tell recruits to turn that "I'm blessed to receive an offer from Colorado" talk into "I'm blessed to commit to Colorado" speak.

It's been a three-day whirlwind since Colorado hired Sanders on Dec. 3. Since, he's landed top-recruit Winston Watkins Jr., among other pivotal talents, hired Kent State coach Sean Lewis as his new offensive coordinator and dazzled at his introductory press conference.

His personality — and bluntness — are refreshing in the coaching space. Coach Prime, as Sanders is called for his "Prime Time" nickname, told his new players to work hard or hit the portal the first time he ever met them.

He then introduced his son, Shedeur, as Colorado's new starting QB, pending Shedeur "earns it."

Now, he's asking recruits to skip the flirtations and commit to Colorado.

It's an age-old tale that seemingly describes Sanders perfectly: If you can't walk the walk, don't talk the talk. It's a narrative he'll need to establish himself in 2023 after taking over a 1-11 Buffaloes squad.
