Not only did Ole Miss lose the game when it traveled to Arkansas on Saturday, falling 42-27 to the Razorbacks. One Rebel player lost something else, as well.
Video has emerged of an Arkansas fan stealing the helmet of Ole Miss linebacker Troy Brown.
Following the game, the fan can be seen running up the stands of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium with a blue Ole Miss helmet in hand. Brown then came into the stands to try and stop him, but he didn't get far before realizing he wasn't going to catch the fan.
Check out the video below.
It's unknown how the Arkansas fan got Brown's helmet or whether he made it out of the stadium with his cargo.
Arkansas fans have gained a reputation as rowdy, for better or worse. Last week, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts said Razorback Stadium was the loudest road venue he experienced during his college career.
Brown deserves some props for how he handled the incident. The fifth-year senior who transferred to Ole Miss from Central Michigan showed some restraint by not going after the fan who stole his helmet or the ones heckling him in the video of the incident.
Had he lost his cool, the whole scene could have really gotten ugly. Instead, it'll go down as the most memorable moment from an otherwise uncompetitive matchup.
