Look: Lane Kiffin's Message For Kirby Smart Goes Viral On Monday

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin

Kirby Smart better have Lane Kiffin's back, because if he doesn't, the internet will never hear the end of it.

Kiffin and Smart formed a friendship during their days at Alabama as assistants under Nick Saban. Since, Kiffin never misses an opportunity to troll his fellow SEC coach on social media.

Heading into the College Football Playoffs, No. 1 Georgia is slated to play No. 4 Michigan in the Peach Bowl on Dec. 31. If Georgia repeats as national champions and has any coaching vacancies, Kiffin joked that he wants a call.

"Making sure if he has any openings to keep me in mind," Kiffin said. "Back to Back!!!"

Kiffin spent three seasons at the University of Alabama as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2014-16.

Smart served as an Alabama assistant for nine years, the last seven as defensive coordinator, from the 2004 to 2015 seasons.

Though they didn't work together at Alabama for long, the two stayed friends and poke fun at each other on social media to this day.

On Monday, ESPN's Paul Finebaum projected the Bulldogs to win it all again. If that's the case, Smart better add Kiffin's number to his favorites for quick access, if it isn't listed there already.
