This Friday, Pac-12 Media Day kicks off in Los Angeles. Ahead of the highly-anticipated event, Pac-12 media members cast their vote for the 2022 preseason poll.

Utah is projected to win the conference. The Utes - who won the Pac-12 title over Oregon last season - finished with 26 of the 33 first-place votes.

USC received the second-most first-place votes (5), but overall is projected to finish third in the regular-season standings.

Oregon lands at No. 2, having received two first-place votes. The Ducks were ranked more highly overall than USC.

Here's the full 2022 Pac-12 football preseason media poll:

  1. Utah Utes (26)
  2. Oregon Ducks (2)
  3. USC (5)
  4. UCLA
  5. Oregon State
  6. Washington
  7. Washington State
  8. Stanford
  9. Cal
  10. Arizona State
  11. Arizona
  12. Colorado

Utah is absolutely the safest pick to win the Pac-12. The Utes return most of their offensive production and should be just as stout on the defensive side of the football. Cameron Rising is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and could even be a dark horse to win the Heisman.

USC, meanwhile, is probably the biggest wildcard of the bunch. The Trojans will be explosive, but line play on both sides of the ball could prove to be a big issue against teams like Utah. There are also many improvements to be made on defense, which was downright atrocious last year. You can't count out Lincoln Riley and Caleb Williams, though.

Oregon will be an interesting team to follow as well. The Ducks are moving on from Mario Cristobal, who left for Miami last December, and entering the Dan Lanning era. He inherits one of the most talented (on-paper) rosters in Oregon football history. The play of expected Ducks starting quarterback Bo Nix may dictate how the season goes in Eugene.

Who are you picking to win the Pac-12 this season?
