Les Miles' time in Baton Rouge may be coming to an end sooner rather than later.
According to ESPN, there is a "very good possibility" that LSU will buy out the head coach's contract.
"In Louisiana, we expect national championships and we're not in it," the source stated.
Although Miles has won a national championship, that is a relic of a time gone by. The present is important to those involved with the school. LSU boosters have reportedly agreed to pay the $15-20 million it would take to buy out Miles and the Tigers staff.
"If we were competing for a national championship this year, well then we wouldn't be having this conversation," the source continued.
After a loss to Alabama and recent losses after such an amazing start to the season, Miles may leave the Tigers to be tamed by another coach. Whatever the outcome, he didn't seem too worried during a press conference Monday.
