There are two Wild Card games on today
College football may be just about over but the NFL playoffs are just getting started with postseason action set to kick off on Saturday, Jan. 5. Wild Card Weekend gets going on Saturday with a pair of regular-season rematches.
AFC South rivals Indianapolis and Houston are first up and after splitting their two regular-season meetings, the stakes are even higher for the rubber match. They are followed by Seattle vs. Dallas down in Arlington, Texas. The Seahawks got the better of the Cowboys back in Week 3 but that was in Seattle and before Dallas added Amari Cooper to its offense and a young defense really started rounding into form.
So if you're wondering, "What NFL games are on today?" know this: There are two scheduled for today, Saturday, Jan. 5.
4:35 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC — NRG Stadium in Houston
Why You Should Watch: This will be the third meeting this season between these AFC South rivals with each winning on the other's home field by three points. The focus will be on the quarterback duel between Andrew Luck and Deshaun Watson but neither defense should be overlooked nor should the offensive lines.
Spread: Texans -1.5
8:15 p.n. ET on FOX — AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas
Why You Should Watch: Seahawks beat the Cowboys 24-13 up in Seattle back in Week 3, but much has changed since then. Seattle will try to run the ball against a solid Dallas defense so as not to put all of the pressure on Russell Wilson. Dak Prescott didn't have Amari Cooper to throw to in the first meeting, but he will still need to be careful with the football, especially since he has the NFL's leading rusher to rely on.
Spread: Cowboys -2
