Nick Saban Announces Alabama Wide Receiver Will Miss 6 To 8 Weeks

Nick Saban, Alabama Crimson Tide Football

The Alabama offense will not be at full strength until midway through the 2022 season. Nick Saban announced on Wednesday that one of his rising star receivers has suffered an injury.

Per Saban, JoJo Earle - a former heralded recruit - will miss the next six to eight weeks. Earle sustained a Jones fracture during practice.

“But hopefully, maybe by Oct. 1 or something like that, he’ll be close to being ready to come back,” Saban said, via 247 Sports.

He added, “Probably the best he’s been on a consistent basis. Just saw a guy that grew up and was playing with a lot of confidence. We’ll miss him for a while, but we want him to get well and I’m sure he’ll contribute to the team at some point in time this year.”

It sounds like Nick Saban is confident JoJo Earle will not only return by October but also be a big contributor for his team's offense.

Alabama begins the 2022 season on Sept. 3 vs. the Utah State Aggies.
