Nick Saban Makes His Opinion On No. 6 Tennessee Very Clear

Nick Saban, Alabama Crimson Tide Football

Nick Saban, known for giving little to nothing in press conferences, was uncharacteristically open about the issues Tennessee could give the Crimson Tide this Saturday.

After barely slipping past Texas A&M at home last week, the head coach for Alabama isn't taking their road matchup versus the now No. 6 ranked Volunteers lightly.

"They're [Tennessee] an outstanding team, they're undefeated. Josh [Heupel] has done a really really good job there. Probably one of the most explosive offenses, if not the most explosive offense in the country," said Saban. "The quarterback, Hooker, has really done a nice job of executing their offense, he's one of the leading pass efficiency guys in the country as well as has ability to extend plays and make plays with his feet... This is a really really good team, a real challenge for us, and our priority has to be getting right ourselves."

Saban also referenced the plethora of skill players on Tennessee's offense, including a core of 4 receivers and 2 running backs with "lots of production."

The Volunteer's quarterback, Hendon Hooker, has recently been mentioned recently in Heisman talks. This game against No. 3 Alabama could be what sinks, or skyrockets, his chances of ending up in New York.

On the other side, Saban shared an update yesterday on his quarterback, Bryce Young. He noted that while he doesn't have an official status, they are trying to get him back out there this weekend.
