A disturbing situation has unfolded within the Alabama football team this week.
A video on Twitter appears to show Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton allegedly striking a female Tennessee fan following the Volunteers' upset victory.
Details are still being gathered. Until Alabama has all the evidence it needs, Nick Saban is not going to say much about the situation.
Saban released an official statement on the situation just moments ago.
"We are aware of the situation with Jermaine Burton as he was exiting the field Saturday," the statement reads. "We are currently working to gather more information."
Jermaine Burton transferred to Alabama after beginning his collegiate career at the University of Georgia.
However, Burton clearly wasn't expecting to lose a game to Tennessee and he let his emotions get the best of him. He might not see the football field for a while after his decision on Saturday night.
Alabama plays No. 24 Mississippi State on Saturday.
