Brian Kelly made his head coaching debut at LSU Sunday night against the Seminoles of Florida State. The Tigers fought all game long, but fell short in heartbreaking fashion when the potential game-tying extra point was blocked by the Seminoles with no time left on the clock.

To add insult to injury, a Notre Dame commit rubbed some salt in the wound with his post-game tweet. Drayk Bowen, a four-star linebacker in the 2023 cycle, called Kelly out on Twitter for his comments about LSU having the actual "resources" needed to win.

When Kelly accepted the LSU job, he explained that he did so because LSU has the "resources" to win big. It wasn't taken very well by Notre Dame fans.

"Can’t wait to get to ND where we have the resources to win. #FreemanEra," said Bowen.

That's a bit rich considering Notre Dame also lost its season-opener, albeit against No. 2 Ohio State, not Florida State.

Regardless, Kelly has his work cut out for him at LSU. This isn't a quick fix and likely won't be the best first year with the Tigers.

LSU gets a clean-up game against Southern U this coming Saturday.
