Outrageous College Football Predictions for Week 10

Every week of the 2020 college football season becomes more of a gift. Earlier in the week, we finally saw some #MACtion. This weekend, we'll get our first glimpse of the Pac-12 Conference.

The best part of 2020 so far has been the unpredictability, which given the circumstances, was predictable.

As the season rolls along, we learn more about each team and conference with every result. Each week, the results seem more and more outrageous. This weekend should be no exception.

Here are the OUTRAGEOUS predictions for Week 10 of the 2020 college football season.

Outrageous College Football Predictions for Week 10

Iowa falls to 0-3

This is the second straight weekend I've picked on the Hawkeyes, but unlike so many football coaches these days, I'm just going to stick with what's working. This season is already a wash for Kirk Ferentz's program. The Hawkeyes probably should be 2-0, but they don't seem to have the DNA right now to close games. Additionally, they seem to shut down when challenged as opposed to rise up and perform. That won't cut it against a Michigan State team coming off a huge win over archrival Michigan. The Spartans are going to come out swinging, playing with house money. I, however, am not playing with house money, and I'm putting my cash on the Hawkeyes folding after the Spartans hit on a couple of explosive scoring plays.

Indiana moves to 3-0

There may not be a more confident team in the country right now than the Indiana Hoosiers. After going blow-for-blow and pulling out a win over Penn State, they came right back last weekend with a convincing win over Rutgers. Indiana is now 2-0 in Big Ten play for the first time since 1991. They bring an offense to the table that can score in a lot of different ways. That's bad news for a Michigan team coming off of a gut-punch loss to Michigan State. The Spartan offense had its way with Michigan defensive coordinator Don Brown's unit. I expect to see the same result when the Wolverines face the Hoosiers this weekend. Look for a huge game from Indiana quarterback Michael Penix Jr., as the Jim Harbaugh era continues to disappoint the Maize and Blue faithful.

BYU blasts Boise State

Sure, the Cougars are slight road favorites, but I don't know if anyone truly realizes how good this BYU club is. This is a team with the talent, especially in the trenches, to hang with the elite teams in every Power 5 conference. They'll put that on display tonight on the blue turf under the Friday night lights. Cougar quarterback Zach Wilson will get all of the love, but it's his offensive line that's going to put on the truly dominating performance en route to an eye-popping margin of victory.

Florida beats Georgia by double digits

Georgia has a great defense, but the only time the Bulldogs faced a truly capable offense his season was the game against Alabama. Kirby Smart's D gave up five touchdowns in that outing. The Gators, led by quarterback Kyle Trask, score 40 points a game. Even if Georgia can slow down Florida, they can't stop them from scoring enough points to put the game out of reach for the struggling Bulldog offense. In 2020, offense wins championships. The Gators have an elite offense. Georgia does not.
