Outrageous College Football Predictions for Week 13
We saw two of the remaining undefeated college football teams fall last weekend in games that they easily could have won. Many, however, expected those results, and the top of the College Football Playoff rankings was not drastically impacted.
This weekend is going to be a little different. We have a couple of teams still very much in the mix, staring down some opponents and coaches who know how to pull off upsets. As we charge toward the end of the season, there's still a little OUTRAGEOUS* left on the 2019 slate.
Outrageous College Football Predictions for Week 13
Utah State upsets Boise State
Boise State has not been dominating in a lot of their wins. The Broncos have plenty of holes, and now some questions at quarterback. Those are not great things to have when you're heading to Logan, Utah, to face the Aggies in a huge conference matchup. I like the crowd to impact this one, Utah State to win the turnover battle, and Boise State to be eliminated from New Year's Six bowl contention.
Texas beats Baylor by double digits
It was painful to watch Baylor crumble last weekend against Oklahoma. I truly believe that loss broke Baylor's spirit. The Bears went from being considered serious contenders after one half to being put right back in their place by the old guard in the second. Now, they are supposed to regroup and take on a talented Texas team that has underachieved this season. I'm not sure the Bears are going to be mentally ready, and it will show on the scoreboard.

Indiana upsets Michigan
The Hoosiers continue to impress, even in their losses. Last weekend, they showed they could go toe-to-toe with Penn State. Schematically, they also can hang with the Wolverines. It's impossible for Jim Harbaugh's bunch to not be looking ahead at the big game with the Buckeyes. Unfortunately for them, this Indiana team is not some FCS school against which you can rest everyone ahead of the biggest game on the schedule. Look for Indiana to punch Michigan in the mouth early and never look back.
TCU takes down Oklahoma
Oklahoma was impressive in the comeback win against Baylor, no question. TCU head coach Gary Patterson, one of the best in the business, has seen that film. He now has a good understanding of what to do in order to get a lead against the Sooners — as well as what not to do to avoid what happened to Baylor. This one comes down to motivation, focus, and coaching. The Horned Frogs need another win to become bowl eligible. They'll be motivated to make a statement.
Arizona State stuns Oregon
The Ducks are flying high and circling the College Football Playoff. Everything is going right for them at this point. Arizona State hasn't won a game in a while, but has been close. Herm Edwards is a master motivator. If there's anyone who can get the Sun Devils to believe they can pull this off, it's him. Look for Arizona State to play a ball-control offense and allow Oregon to run the ball in order to shorten this game, making it a lower-scoring affair than most expect. A late turnover sets up the Sun Devils to secure the win.
