Paul Finebaum Has 1 Name In Mind To Replace Scott Frost At Nebraska

Paul Finebaum

Nebraska has finally done it. Scott Frost is no longer the head football coach. Nebraska fired him on Sunday night following the Huskers' embarrassing loss to Georgia Southern on Saturday.

Now, analysts and fans are trying to figure out which direction Nebraska will go to find his replacement. Paul Finebaum has one name in mind, and it's a big one.

Finebaum thinks Nebraska should go after former Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer to replace Frost. There's no better coach in the sport at getting things turned around in quick fashion, which is exactly what the Huskers need.

"There's really only one elite coach right now I think that's capable of changing a program," said Finebaum. "I'll try not to completely throw up my breakfast as I utter the two words Urban Meyer."

Urban Meyer at Nebraska would be fascinating, but it's tough to ignore the kind of off-field stuff that Meyer brings with him. With that being said, he'd be a home-run hire for the Huskers.

Meyer's last coaching gig was in the NFL. He didn't even last a full season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. But that's the NFL and this is college. He knows how to get the job done at the college level.

Should Nebraska pick up the phone and give Urban Meyer a call?
