Paul Finebaum Has Embarrassing Wardrobe Mishap Ahead of Texas-Kentucky
In the blink of an eye, Week 13 of the college football season has arrived, and teams across the country are fighting to keep their postseason aspirations alive.
While the slate features just three games between ranked opponents, there are a handful of premier programs that cannot afford to lose this weekend to an unranked foe. One of those teams is the No. 3 Texas Longhorns (9-1), who are hosting the Kentucky Wildcats (4-6).
While ESPN's "College GameDay" and Fox's "Big Noon Kickoff" were both in Columbus, Ohio, for the battle between the No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers (10-0) and No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes (9-1), ESPN's "SEC Nation" was in Austin, Texas. The crew, which features Laura Rutledge, Tim Tebow, Jordan Rodgers, Roman Harper and Paul Finebaum, got into the Cowboy spirit for their show, as they each sported matching cowboy hats.
However, unfortunately for Finebaum, he didn't quite match as he had his hat on the wrong way.
It's a blunder that fans made sure to let Finebaum know about in the comment section.
"Someone tell Paul his hat is on backwards," wrote one fan.
"Paul’s hat is on backwards!! LOL," added another.
"Paul…..your hat is on backwards," commented another fan.
"Finebaum’s hat is on backwards so, yeah… that about sums up Texas in Austin," joked another.
Whether he or someone on the set realized it, Finebaum eventually got his hat situation figured out in time for a picture with Texas' "Minister of Culture" and iconic actor Matthew McConaughey.
As for the game itself, Texas came into Saturday as an 18.5-point favorite and with a 94.7% chance of winning, according to ESPN. While Finebaum's hat may be a close second, the biggest storyline surrounding this game is whether or not the Longhorns can handle business.
Texas has struggled to put away some inferior opponents this season, including Arkansas in last week's 20-10 win. Kickoff for Kentucky-Texas is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
