Predictions for Every College Football Game in Week 9

Deondre Francois

Deondre Francois

College football’s Week 9 slate kicks off on Thursday night with five matchups. Virginia Tech at Pitt and California at USC are the two marquee contests on Thursday, but Appalachian State at Georgia Southern is a key game for positioning within the Sun Belt. Three games are slated for Friday night, with USF hosting Navy in a critical American Athletic Conference matchup. After South Florida’s loss at Temple last Friday, coach Willie Taggart’s team cannot afford another league defeat to stay alive for the East Division title. A full schedule is on tap for Saturday, including top 25 showdowns between Florida State and Clemson, Utah hosting Washington in a potential Pac-12 Championship Game preview, and Nebraska visiting Wisconsin for a clash of the favorites in the Big Ten’s West Division. Boise State at Wyoming, Florida versus Georgia in Jacksonville, Michigan at Michigan State, West Virginia at Oklahoma State and Baylor at Texas are just a few of the other matchups to watch for Week 9.
