Prominent College Football Quarterback Announces Stunning Transfer Decision

A prominent college football quarterback is leaving his team behind just a few games into the 2022 season. That quarterback happens to be Boise State's Hank Bachmeier.

It has been an ugly start to the 2022 season for the Broncos. Andy Avalos' team is 2-2 on the year with losses to Oregon State and, most recently, UTEP.

Following the UTEP loss, Avalos decided to part ways with offensive coordinator Tim Plough. Now, as a result, Avalos is losing his quarterback.

Quarterback Hank Bachmeier is transferring just four games into the 2022 season.

"BREAKING: Sources tell @BNNBroncoNation that quarterback Hank Bachmeier is transferring from Boise State. News comes two days after offensive coordinator Tim Plough was fired," said B.J. Rains.

Hank Bachmeier was struggling for the most part in four games this season. He completed 54.3 percent of his throws for 497 yards and six touchdowns with three picks.

Bachmeier still has two years of eligibility remaining. He should receive plenty of interest in the transfer portal.

With Bachmeier now out of the mix, the Broncos are expected to move forward with Taylen Green.

Boise State plays San Diego State this Friday night.
