The Purdue Boilermakers will open up the season against the Penn State Nittany Lions on Thursday night from Ross-Ade Stadium.

Purdue will have Aidan O’Connell back as their starting quarterback after a 9-4 season while finishing off the year with a 48-45 win over Tennessee in the Music City Bowl. As for Penn State, they finished the year 7-6 but came up short in the Outback Bowl against Arkansas, where they only put up 10 points. Sean Clifford will be back under center this season as he looks for a breakout season with the Nittany Lions.
