Rece Davis Delivers Strong Message to Fans After 'College GameDay' Announcement
This past Saturday, Rece Davis and the ESPN "College GameDay" crew traveled to Tuscaloosa for a highly anticipated top-five matchup between the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide.
This episode of ESPN's flagship college football program brought in massive viewership numbers. And on Tuesday, ESPN revealed just how many people had tuned in for the pregame show.
The show averaged 2.3 million viewers and peaked at 3.0 million in the final hour. It marked the best September episode since 2010 and the second-best all time.
"The premier CFB pregame program is on pace for it's best season EVER," ESPN PR wrote on X.
Davis responded with a thank you for college football fans and teased next Saturday's edition of the show.
"Thanks to all of you who are watching. We do this show for the people who love this sport the way we do—and to bring in everyone else who will soon love it that way too! Let’s go @CalFootball fans! You’re up next! #BearTerritory #Calgorithm," Davis wrote.
Davis and the ESPN "College GameDay" crew will set up shop in Berkeley for Saturday's matchup between the No. 8 Miami Hurricanes and unranked Cal Golden Bears at California Memorial Stadium.
