We have troubling news to share out of the SEC. A projected starting quarterback was arrested this Thursday morning, according to a report.
Projected Auburn starting quarterback T.J. Finley, the former LSU signal caller, was arrested this Thursday morning. He was charged with attempting to elude police.
More details are starting to emerge, as well. Police initially attempted to pull over Finley when they spotted him without a helmet while riding a moped. That's when the Auburn quarterback reportedly attempted to elude police.
"DEVELOPING: Auburn University football player T.J. Finley is in custody at the Lee County Detention Facility on a charge of Attempt to Elude with the Auburn Police Department," WRBL News 3 reports.
This is troubling news for T.J. Finley and the Auburn football team, especially right as fall camp is set to begin.
Finley, the LSU transfer, is expected to compete for the starting quarterback position alongside Texas A&M transfer Zach Calzada and Oregon transfer Robby Ashford.
It's going to be interesting to see how Bryan Harsin handles this one.
