SEC Reveals Georgia Injury Report Ahead of Kentucky Matchup
The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (2-0) travel to Kentucky to take on the Wildcats (1-1) in an SEC clash on Saturday.
Neither team is completely healthy ahead of the game, though Kentucky is missing far more players, according to the official "availability report" released by the SEC.
Sophomore tailback Roderick Robinson, the team's leading returning rusher, has yet to play a snap this season after undergoing toe surgery in fall camp. Georgia has featured walk-on junior Cash Jones, redshirt sophomore Branson Robinson and true freshman Nate Frazier. Florida transfer Trevor Etienne started in Week 2 after serving a one-game suspension.
Additionally, defensive tackles Jordan Hall, Warren Brinson and Xavier McLeod missed Saturday's game against Tennessee Tech with injuries, as did star edge rusher Mykel Williams.
The Bulldogs have held strong up front despite the situation on the defensive line, with players like senior Nazir Stackhouse, redshirt junior Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins and redshirt sophomore Christen Miller helping to fill the void.
According to the release, Robinson is out against Kentucky. Mykel Williams (ankle) is doubtful, with Hall, Brinson and McLeod labeled as questionable. Below is UGA's first availability report for the season and the first in program history.
Georgia has yet to have a catastrophic injury. While Robinson's return will likely take more time, he will be back this season, barring any major setbacks. The program will benefit from returning players during an extremely tough SEC slate. UGA is on a bye next week before heading to Tuscaloosa to take on No. 4 Alabama.
Kickoff against Kentucky is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC).
