All Shedeur Sanders Does is Keep Winning
As poorly as Colorado finished the 2023 college football season, they've swung quickly to the other end of the spectrum in 2024, and quarterback Shedeur Sanders is leading the way.
The Buffs have won six of their last seven games, including Saturday's 41-27 road win over Texas Tech, a hot opponent that just knocked off previously undefeated Iowa State last week.
Sanders has been at the forefront, playing the kind of football that will certainly have NFL scouts glued to the screen. The Jackson State transfer completed nearly 70 percent of his passes Saturday for 291 yards and a trio of touchdown throws, with no interceptions. He also added another score on the ground.
Heading into this season, there was plenty of talk about how the Buffs faltered down the stretch in 2023 after coming out of the gate strong. There was just as much discussion about whether or not Sanders could improve his consistency and decision-making, and the chances of his supporting cast doing enough to allow him to show off the best of his skill set as an audition for NFL teams.
The team has responded to the offseason doubters with an impressive performance throughout the year so far, and Sanders continues to improve on a weekly basis, checking every box NFL scouts are looking for when it comes to evaluating a potential franchise quarterback prospect.
Sanders clearly has all the arm talent to be a quality NFL starter, and his best traits might be the intangible ones. He's unflappable in clutch moments, and brings the kind of swagger and confidence that inspires belief in his teammates that as long as they have him at the helm, they've got a chance to win.
In the race to be the top quarterback in the 2025 draft class, Sanders continues to make a strong case for himself, and his team is coming along for a fun ride in the process.
