The Jaguars and Trojans will play for a championship belt.
Less than 200 miles separates the campuses of Troy and South Alabama, and the Sun Belt rivals will have a new rivalry trophy at stake for Saturday’s meeting.
The South Alabama-Troy rivalry is officially the “Battle for the Belt,” and the winner of the annual meeting will take home a championship belt, similar to the ones in boxing or wrestling.
Needless to say, this is a pretty unique and outstanding rivalry trophy:
