After a disappointing 2024 campaign, the TCU Horned Frogs look to bounce back and challenge for the 2025 Big 12 title.

TCU’s 2025 schedule was released on Tuesday and the Horned Frogs will start in prime-time on Sept. 1 on the road against a newly vitalized North Carolina Tar Heels team led by former Patriots and future Hall of Fame coach Bill Belichick. Starting on the road is nothing new to a TCU team that did so in 2024 as they defeated Stanford 34-27.

After a couple of weeks off and a home game against Abilene Christian, the Horned Frogs with host cross-town rival, ACC newcomer and College Football Playoff participant, SMU, for bragging rights in the DFW area.

The Big 12 campaign begins on Sept. 27 on the road against Arizona State, before the Frogs return home against Colorado on Oct. 4. Another road test follows in Manhattan, Kansas, against Kansas State on Oct. 11.

This stretch comes with challenges as the Arizona State Sun Devils, a playoff team a year ago, brings back experience and confidence.

TCU will end 2025 with three of the last five games on the road, going into challenging venues in Morgantown, West Virginia against the University of West Virginia on Oct. 25 and a Nov. 15 game in cool weather and high altitude in Provo, Utah, against BYU.

The final road test will possibly prove critical in determining the Horned Frogs’ post-conference fate as they travel to Houston to play a much-improved Cougar team on Nov. 22.

TCU returns home to play the Cincinnati Bearcats at Amon G. Carter Stadium to close out the regular season on Nov. 29.

Although the departure last year of powerhouse teams Texas and Oklahoma was considered by many to pave the way for TCU to challenge for the Big 12 title, the success will be determined by getting off to a strong start and staying healthy.
